Pure are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager (Compliance, Controls & Reporting) on behalf of a well known charity based on the outskirts of Cambridge. 

The role is a 35 hour full time working week, which offers hybrid and flexible working, working a compressed working week is also offered where some staff members will work a 9 day fortnight. This is an excting time to join this growing charity who are committed to working hard to provide for a much needed cause. 

This role will assist the Head of Finance in all elements of technical accounting, including financial compliance, internal financial controls and financial reporting. This position works alongside the Finance Manager who has a responsibility for transactional accounting and together you will ensure that best practice is adhered to at all times. 

The main duties are as follows - 

- Lead the production of annual financial statements and reporting and lead on the annual audit. 
- Prepare and submit the quarterly VAT returns 
- Be the main point of contact for internal and external partners regarding technical accounting matters
- Review policies and procedures alongside the Head of Finance 
- Maintain a strong financial control environment
- Keep up to date with all technical finance developments and reporting requirements. 

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices and proven experience of statutory accounts preparation and audit. This role may suit somebody looking to take their first or second move out of practice.
