Finance Manager - Construction

Location: Reading, UK

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including payrole, vat return, full accountancy
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial management of projects.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in SAGE 50 and other relevant financial software.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions and data analysis.
  • AAT Level 3 and 4 qualifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
