Finance Manager/Officer
Position: Temporary Finance Manager/Officer / Financial Controller
Salary: £18 - £21ph
Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: Initially up to 31 October 2024
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Finance Manager/Officer / Financial Controller to join our clients team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of their accounting systems and procedures, in line with the companies financial regulations and current accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Systems Management: Oversee the provision of efficient and effective accounting systems and procedures.
Financial Reporting: Provide accurate, timely, and appropriate financial information for the company and its trading companies.
Financial Stewardship: Assist the Manager and Executives in ensuring proper stewardship of public funds and company assets.
Team Leadership: Manage the Finance Team to support the company's management and business requirements.
Financial Records Control: Maintain and control the company's financial records according to regulations.
Expenditure Monitoring: Regularly update and advise senior management and budget holders on financial status, ensuring adherence to budget limits.
Management Information Systems: Develop and maintain systems for accurate and up-to-date financial information.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, including income and expenditure accounts, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and cost centre analysis.
Treasury and Asset Management: Oversee Treasury Management, Asset Control, VAT, and Fixed Asset Registers.
Month-End Procedures: Manage all month-end close down procedures efficiently and effectively.
Revenue Management: Supervise the collection, recording, and banking of all monies related to fees and other payments.
Invoice and Credit Management: Ensure timely payment of invoices and creditors.
Team Supervision: Manage the day-to-day work of the finance team, ensuring performance aligns with the company's policies and practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in a similar financial management role.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in financial reporting and management information systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
