Finance Manager – SaaS startup

Hybrid working (City office 4 days p/w, WFH 1 day p/w)

£65/75k basic + options

Talentedge are exclusively partnering with a high-growth SaaS startup whose niche falls into a category with a TAM of 100bn+. The business is growing at 150% YoY and are aiming double their headcount from 35 to 70 people by the end of this year (forecasting 140 people by the end of 2025).

This is the first operational finance hire under a first-time Finance Director who has worked for some of the world’s leading startup success stories. They are an ex-Investment Manager turned Head of Strategy / Commercial Finance / FP&A.

You’ll be fantastic for this role if you are seeking a broad, all-encompassing finance role where you will be instrumental in supporting this rapidly scaling business and have daily exposure to C Suite. Key responsibilities to include:

  • Bring in-house a currently outsourced accounting function
  • Design and roll out key financial processes and controls, ensuring that they are fit for scale
  • Deliver the monthly board pack including management accounts and commentaries
  • Statutory reporting and tax work
  • Support Finance Director on budgeting, forecasting, planning & KPI analysis
  • Business partner cross-functionally
  • Manage transactional finance, using technology to automate where possible

Profile:

  • Qualified accountant with a strong academic background
  • Experience of working with high-growth tech businesses (ideally SaaS however this is non-essential)
  • Mathematical and data driven in approach, with advanced Excel. Ability to use data analytics tools would be an advantage
  • Xero experience
  • Effective communicator, comfortable working with teams across the business
