Harmonic is excited to collaborate with one of UK's most dynamic beverage start-ups in their search for a Finance Manager to join their team. Since their inception, our client has been driven by a passion for exceptional drinks and sustainable practices, fostering direct trade relationships and championing quality from crop to cup.

Our client is currently trading at c.£12m turnover with ambitious plans to scale the business to c.£30m in the next 3 years. They are confident this can be achieved through new revenue streams which include a subscription model as well as further growth into new regions.

As the Finance Manager reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be a key piece between the senior management team and the junior team play a crucial role as part of the senior management team, responsible for running the day-to-day finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to become the second finance team member in the UK within a rapidly expanding scale-up and would suit candidates who enjoy being part of a fast-paced and evolving work culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of Management Accounts providing insightful commentary and analysis.
  • Own the day-to-day Finance piece covering AP, AR, and Credit Control to streamline and automate these processes and manage the team of 3 responsible for these areas.
  • Own the month-end process looking to continuously improve this process
  • Support the Head of Finance with improvement and production of FP&A, financial analysis and financial modelling as they expand their operations.
  • Support the Head of Finance with the implementation of new KPI's and projects.
  • Provide business partner support to multiple areas of the business improving decision-making and business insight
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to Sales and Marketing teams

What our client would like to see (Essential):

  • Qualified Accountant ACA (preference), ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent technical experience or audit background
  • Strong Financial Modelling skills
  • Ability to Partner with Senior Decision Makers
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail

What we Would Like to see (non-essential):

  • SME or Start-up experience
  • Experience driving commercial decisions and making strategic inputs
  • Ambitious and 'understands' the 'chaos' that life in a start-up involves.
  • Experience in FMCG/ Logistics/hospitality / multisite / hotels/gym groups would be advantageous

Budget: £40,000 - 50,000 + benefits + Share Options

Location: London / Hybrid

Start date: ASAP - 3 months (max)
