Commercial Financial Controller

Our Sussex based marketing client requires an experienced high calibre corporate Commercial Financial Controller to join their expanding business. You will be responsible for all financial control, reporting, tax and payroll, and be responsible for mentoring and motivate a small accounting team. You will oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting, communicating financial results to the Directors. A key part of this permanent opportunity is to participate in the commercial and strategic development of the company and will be pivotal in the ongoing development of a cost control culture.

Duties will include:

• Analysis and interpretation of KPI’s, variances & forecasting
• Prepare forecasts, plans and management information
• Budget preparation and monthly analysis
• Preparation and presentation of reports to the Board
• Preparation of year end accounts information
• Preparation of Monthly Board Pack
• Report showing actuals and forecasts against budget
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the performance of the group
• Mentor and develop staff members

Applicants should possess:

• A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
• Experience of working with and developing strong teams and motivating individuals to achieve results; must be effective at building relationships across the organisation, as well as externally
• Candidates working within a high volume busy working environment
