Finance Manager

Our Founder led client is looking to appoint a Finance Manager, working alongside the Chief Finance Officer, your role will be highly visible in the organisation.

Working in their UK office, this business is world class in innovation and Technology. You must be a Qualified Accountant with a hands on approach, this role will see you working closely with the UK stakeholders

Manage accounting operations to ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP and corporate
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including:
o Accounts payable, payroll, inter-company and general ledger functions;
o US subsidiary funding requirements and other financial information.
 Develop operational procedures and policies and enhance process efficiencies through
automation and elimination of process redundancies.
 Month end close
o Work with outsourced accounting teams, to review journal entries, balance sheet
account reconciliations, Accruals and prepayments, Payroll and management accounts
o Partner closely with operational teams for monthly close accounting ensuring accurate
data is provided to outsourced accounting firms in the UK and US.
o Work with third party accounting firms to ensure a consistent monthly management
pack across entities.
o Bring in house the consolidation accounting activities currently outsourced
o Provide month end inventory for the UK and US to outsourced firms
o Ensure capital equipment is correctly identified and accounted for in line with policy
o Backup reviewer for payroll
o Intercompany invoicing and purchases aligned with Transfer pricing agreements,
 Compliance activities
o Review and critique quarterly VAT returns
o Statutory accounts preparation
o Interact with external accounting and Audit firm and ensure timely completion annual
audits, tax , for both UK and US entities
o Provide technical accounting advice to the CFO including preparation of accounting
memos for the treatment of key items.
o Lead accounting transition from UK GAAP to IFRS including group consolidated financial
statements, Ensure US entity adheres to group accounting policies and close timelines
