Finance Manager

As a key player supporting the Finance Director, you'll be at the forefront of enforcing robust financial controls, driving the business forward to meet commercial strategic objectives. The Finance Manager will also take the reins in managing a small finance team, ensuring their work is completed in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility of leading the Management Accounts and Accounts Payable team, providing day-to-day guidance, training, and development. Your proven leadership skills will drive the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
• Own the financial reporting process, from month-end deliverables to the preparation and review of journals, reconciliations, and flash management accounts. Your keen eye for detail will ensure accuracy, and your variance analysis will be instrumental in guiding business decisions.
• Develop and maintain controls, policies, and procedures to create a financial management environment that fosters effectiveness and efficiency. Your expertise will shine as you prepare short-term cashflow forecasts for the business, providing crucial insights with variance analysis.
• Work closely with various teams, including Land, Technical, Commercial, and Sales, to update monthly appraisals. Your robust challenge to material movements will contribute to informed decision-making, creating a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Engage in exciting project work, enhancing the utilisation of IT systems across the Region. Your contribution will shape the future of financial processes, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.

Person Spec

• Qualified ACA/ICAS/ACCA with a good level of academic qualification
• Possess good influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to lead a finance function
• Confident communicator with the ability to present to senior operational stakeholders
