SF Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic organisation based in central Birmingham in the recruitment of a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager is responsible for the day to day finance operations including preparation and compliance of all accounting routines along with the smooth running of the department.

Key tasks:

· Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare and present to the Management Board.
· Annual Budgets and Forecasts: Develop detailed financial plans, modelling and analyses.
· General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure it meets reporting needs.
· Variance Analysis: Provide insights on budget and performance differences.
· Fixed Asset Register: Effective life cycle management through acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
· Asset and Contract Review: Highlight concerns and ensure best value.
· Budget Monitoring: Guide and support budget holders on spending to meet business goals.
· Cost Reduction: Collaborate to achieve savings.
· VAT Compliance: Handle quarterly returns and import tax reliefs.
· Annual Audit: Prepare and liaise with external auditors.
· Costing Models: Refresh and compile data for analysis.
· Transactional Finance Oversight: Ensure timely processing.
· Payroll Management: Oversee payroll changes and ensure timely payments.
· Management Reporting Suite: Develop and implement.
· Support and Ad-hoc Duties: Step in as needed and tackle special projects.
