Finance Manager - Louth - £30k-£35k & Study support

Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for a Transactional Finance Manager for an established family-owned business who offer a bespoke service to their customers. As Transactional Finance Manager, you will work with the Finance Director to identify and implement process improvements and manage and develop the transactional finance team. You will also develop good working relationships across the business, in particular with colleagues that are involved in the procurement cycle or are customer facing. You will be joining a friendly team with nice modern offices and have the opportunity to make a real impact to a growing business.

The role of the Finance Manager

• Line management of transactional finance team
• Ensuring financial controls are adhered to and identify opportunities to continually improve them
• Ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, including VAT, CIS and other regulatory requirements
• Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily basis
• Oversight of payment run preparation
• Reporting of KPI’s on PA and AR functions - debtor/creditor days, bad debt reports etc
• Ensuring ledger work is completed in line with company reporting timetables

The ideal candidate for the role of Finance Manager

• Hold a bookkeeping/ accounting qualification, although qualified by experience will also be considered
• Competent in Word, Excel, and Sage 50
• Strong transactional experience, including bank reconciliations and processing high volumes of transactions
