Overview: As a Financial Manager, you will play a crucial role in our financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information, as well as insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making at the management level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Highlight key performance indicators, variances, and trends to drive informed decisions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop, monitor, and review budgets and forecasts.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and drive financial performance.
- Cost Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis of costs and expenses, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Analyse production costs, overhead expenses, and other cost drivers to support decision-making and cost control measures.
- Variance Analysis:
- Investigate and explain variances between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted figures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand underlying causes and develop action plans to address deviations.
- Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making processes.
- Evaluate the financial implications of proposed projects, investments, or strategic initiatives.
- Management Reporting:
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management.
- Support strategic initiatives, business performance reviews, and decision-making processes with insightful analysis.
- Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial regulations.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in implementing corrective actions to address identified deficiencies.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis.
- Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to drive process improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, and marketing.
- Provide financial insights and support cross-functional initiatives, acting as a business partner to key stakeholders.
- Audits:
- Prepare Year-End Audit Packs and liaise with Internal and External Auditors.
- Ensure seamless year-end audits and meet agreed deadlines for concluding any internal or external audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CIMA, ACCA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and draw meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE300, Accpac, IDU) is desirable.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of key drivers impacting financial performance.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
