Finance Manager

I am currently working with my client who after a restructure of the finance team are looking to recruit an experienced finance manager to join the team in Manchester. Supervising a team of 4 including 2 ledger clerks and assistant management accountants. The company are well established and going through a period of growth so this is a really exciting time to get on board. You will ideally have 3 years experience in a similar role and be able to start a new role September / October time. You may be qualified by experience / CIMA ACCA qualified or nearing completion.

Salary - £45,000 - £55,000+ company bonus (c10%)

Location - Manchester city centre (hybrid work - 2days from home) 

Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Manage internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
• Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports.
• Analyse financial reports and present findings 
• Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
• Analyse market trends to maximize profits and find expansion opportunities.
• Identify risks, propose solutions and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Research and report on business performance influences.
• Prepare and present statutory accounts.
• Manage the purchase and sales ledger clerks
• Responsibility for accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries.
• Manage audit processes of current systems.
• Monitor financial details to ensure legal requirements are met.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices.
