Well established SME in the project engineering sector with a turnover of £10 million and ambitious plans for expansion are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team.
If you’re a qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACCA professional with a proven track record in financial management in an SME, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success.
Responsibilities
- Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: create annual budgets and provide ongoing financial forecasts.
- Year-End Accounts: Coordinate year-end financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, optimise working capital, and manage liquidity.
- Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records.
- Project Accounting: Work closely with project managers to track project costs, analyse variances, and ensure financial alignment.
- Supervision: Lead a small finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
- Work closely with Project Directors and Managers/colleagues: provide financial management and accounting for the business on a project-by-project basis
- Management and ongoing development of the in-house CRM system
Skills and Experience
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Sage and advanced excel
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager role with strong financial reporting experience in an SME in the UK ideally in manufacturing/engineering
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- First class communication skills and leadership ability
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards
