Are you a skilled finance professional ready to take on a new challenge? We\'re seeking a dynamic Finance Team Leader for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. In this key role, you\'ll manage our Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, ensuring seamless financial operations and efficient cash management. You\'ll also have the chance to lead exciting projects like transitioning to a paperless office and enhancing our credit management processes.

Role Responsibility

• Lead and Inspire:
  Guide and mentor two direct reports, ensuring the AP/AR teams deliver high-quality and timely financial services.

• Master of Credit Management:
  Oversee our credit insurance policies, ensuring all trade customer debt is appropriately secured. Monitor customer balances to prevent overtrading and take necessary actions to protect our financial interests.

• AP Excellence:
  Ensure the AP team processes all supplier invoices promptly and resolves any issues efficiently.

• Financial Strategy & Reporting:
  Develop and manage the BFL daily cash flow forecast, collaborating with the Booker Treasury team to optimise our financial planning. Review and approve month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations, maintaining financial integrity.

• Innovation & Collaboration:
  Play a key role in transformative projects, from digitalising our processes to implementing advanced financial technologies. Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business improvements and innovation.

You will need

• Qualifications:
  A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Experience & Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing finance teams and processes.
  • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and maintain excellent relationships with customers and third parties.
  • Expertise in managing credit insurance and securing customer debt.
