You are someone who is as comfortable interacting as a Finance Business Partner with a range of different people at different levels as you are in getting stuck into producing the monthly management accounts.

You want a role where you can develop yourself and your team and always look to improve finance processes and procedures and help to make the complex simple for the budget holders you challenge and support.

What you'll be doing:

You will be working with colleagues who are well established in their roles and friendly, but also open to new ideas and ways of working and you'll provide constructive challenge to them on budgets.

You will contribute directly to the development and implementation of financial strategy; identifying and managing financial risks.

You will ensure all aspects of the busy finance office incorporating financial plans, forecasts, statutory returns, monthly accounts are prepared effectively, robustly and accurately and that they provide a basis for sound strategic and operational decision making.

You will deputise for the Head of Finance and line manage and lead the finance team being responsible for managing workload and developing and motivating the team.

What you'll need to offer:

As an experienced finance manager / finance business partner you'll have honed your experience a broad range of finance tasks, but in particular will have a track record across finance business partnering and leading, managing and developing staff and will enjoy getting the best out of your team and helping them to progress their skills.

You may be a high performing finance business partner with some management experience who is looking to take the next step in their career or someone who is already operating at a similar level, but looking for a new challenge in a supportive and interesting environment.

You'll have a passion for ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion is achieved across everything that you and your team do.

You will ideally be a qualified accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA ) or you will have substantial finance business partnering and staff management experience within a similar complex organisation.

What's in it for you:

As a package many of the best perks of this role are those you can't put a price on:
  • Walking to your office through a vibrant and engaging location where every day you might see something new on your walk into the building (or indeed the fact that they remain committed to hybrid working so 2 days per week you might not have a very long walk to your office at all!)

  • Employee assistance programme and staff discounts
  • A salary of c£48,000 - £57,000 with scope for internal progression and future development
