Veracious Talent Partners are proud to be exclusively partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Bedford to recruit a talented Finance Manager.
The business is already performing ahead of its growth targets and has ambitious plans to double turnover within the next 3-5 years, offering a fantastic platform for long-term career progression.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director — who has a strong finance background and is committed to mentoring and supporting your development — you will take full ownership of the finance function, play a key role in business decision-making, and help shape the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:Full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing critical insight to the senior leadership team
Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and group reporting
Management of day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities
Oversight and support of two Accounts Assistants, ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations
Oversight of VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and accounting standards
Support and management of the annual audit process, acting as the key contact for external auditors
Liaising with banks, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to maintain strong financial relationships
Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy
Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or at the final stages of qualification
Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment and familiarity with stock control processes would be advantageous
Commercially minded, highly organised, and able to collaborate effectively across departments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is desirable but not essential
Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
