We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our payroll team here at Community Housing. You will be assisting the senior payroll officer in the day to day running of Communities payroll function, therefore a sound understanding of payroll is vital for this role.

Your Main responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately process and input payroll data for all colleagues and board members in accordance with statutory and company regulations and to pre-determined timescales

  • Reconciling the salary account and posting salary/pension journals.

  • To advise and support colleagues and managers on payroll issues and act as a first point of contact for enquiries.

  • To support the development and implementation of new payroll systems, policies and procedures

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A sound understanding of payroll

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to ensure that both personal and team targets and deadlines are achieved

  • Ability to represent the Finance Department and Company, to internal and external customers, in a professional manner.

  • IT skills should include familiarity with computerised accounting packages, reporting tools and strong spreadsheet ability.

  • Professional credibility to build positive relationships with stakeholders
