Finance Officer
  • Annual Salary: £31,000-£32,000
  • Location: Bath

Are you a qualified AAT/IAB with expertise in SAGE 50, or an experienced bookkeeper looking for their next step in their career? We are seeing a Finance Officer to join one of Baths leading charities in their expanding finance team. Your role will be crucial in ensuring stable finances and supporting the charities mission. 

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Support the Head of Finance with all aspects of financial and management accounting for the charity and its subsidiary trading company.
  • Maintain day-to-day operation of the finance department, including the upkeep of accounting records.
  • Provide efficient and timely financial information for Charity Trustees, Directors, Auditors, and the Senior Leadership team as required.
  • Manage purchase ledger, income ledger, journal posting, trial balances, and account reconciliation.
  • Utilise Microsoft 365 package, including strong Excel skills, to enhance financial processes and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good standard of maths and English (GCSE and/or A Level).
  • AAT part/full qualification and/or IAB Bookkeeping qualifications. Candidates qualified by experience will also be considered if they can provide evidence of their expertise.
  • Essential: Profound knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software package.
  • Extensive bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working within a team environment.
