We are delighted to be supporting a leading Cambridgeshire education institute as they seek to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This role has become available due to the current incumbent retiring and within this role, you will report into the School Accountant. The role will offer hybrid working arrangements, with a maximum of 2 days per week of home working permitted.
As the incoming Finance Officer, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Processing of Purchase invoices
- Processing of student billing
- Assisting with reconciliations
- Posting month end journals
- Monitoring and reconciling of bank accounts
- Additional duties as per the full job description
As the successful applicant for this role, you will have previous experience working within a similar accounts role, with good knowledge of transactional processing and month end journals. Previous experience working within an education setting would be considered advantageous. Additional attributes you will ideally possess include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
