FINANCE OFFICER - CRAIGAVON AREA

SALARY: £15.86 an hour

EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, temporary, office-based

My client is an excellent employer in the Craigavon area and are urgently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join their team on temporary, full-time, and office-based position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accounting system effectively, setting up and monitoring payment items, and produce reports 
  • Reconcile monthly invoices, reports, and analyses as required.
  • Supporting the Payroll function as required
  • Assisting the Senior Finance Officer in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, and preparation of for annual audit, including maintaining spread sheets, producing reports and other working papers as required
  • Recording day-to-day manual transactions in the excel cheque journal and income book, ensuring that all relevant data is collected and processed.
  • Completing postings for manual payments, direct debits and payments and income onto the system
  • Verifying that transactions are posted to the correct ledger code and cost centre and analyse income and expenditures as required
  • Undertaking monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts and carry out regular cash flow analyses
  • Generating invoices as required
  • Maintaining accurate financial records

What you’ll need to succeed!

  • 5 GCSE (A-C grade) or equivalent, including maths & English
  • 2 years+ experience of working with computerised accounting package
  • Proven experience of effectively using a range of computer packages, in particular Excel
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
