IQ Talent Solutions are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Systems Manager for one of our most prestigious clients who are a global industry leader in the software sector.  The role is based in Central London where there is a hybrid working policy in place. The role will pay a competitive basic salary, bonus, and industry leading benefits.

What is expected of the Finance Systems Manager?

  • Own internal and external reporting information, management reporting and ad hoc business reports requirements
  • Working alongside other Company Reporting and Finance teams, helping to develop and maintain reporting solutions required by the business.
  • Working with IT and the wider business in identifying and resolving reporting issues relating to systems and mapping.
  • Lead and support Reporting Transformation projects, including the implementation of new global consolidation reporting system.
  • Utilise Power BI, Hyperion system, Cognos and other BI tools to analyze and create meaningful business information.
  • Evaluate, identify trends, common business issues and contribute to Group Finance projects.
  • Interpreting and understanding how data influences key business decisions, linking the bigger picture together, anticipating consequences and finding a path to effective solutions.
  • Maintaining data governance best practice and promoting use with the wider team.
  • Support with external audit reporting and analysis.
  • Support acquisition accounting, new entities financial integration, setting up entities structure in Company Reporting Systems (i.e Hyperion, Oracle) and facilitate financial policy integration for newly acquired companies.

What we look for in a Finance Systems Manager?

  • Highly analytical, structured approach to analysis, communication, data presenting, with a focus on process improvement and adding insights.
  • Critical thinking mindset. Reasoning and extending logic to come up with plausible options or outcomes.
  • Demonstrable track record as an Oracle Financials system/ Hyperion administrator and/or super-user, having primary responsibility for Oracle-Hyperion system.
  • Project management skills: Flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage workload.
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication across a range of stakeholders, with the ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and concise manner.
  • Plans ahead, with a proven ability of meeting tight deadlines, prioritize and proactively reporting to the manager’s and stakeholder’s expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience to review and analyze large data sets and identify drivers.
  • Ability to manage resource in other teams/ functions to achieve the deliverable and provide training to existing staff.
  • Strong across MS Office Applications and advanced reporting tools (i.e. PowerBI, SQL…)
  • Advanced Hyperion, SmartView and HFM systems skills at report building level, professional user of data manipulation tools such as Power BI.
