Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a Berkshire-based business seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant for a fixed-term contract of 6-9 months. This role is designed to support a busy finance function and encompass a broad range of financial accounting duties.

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:
  • Support a Busy Team: Assist the finance team with various financial accounting tasks, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
  • Year-End Accounting Activities: Play a crucial role in supporting the year-end accounting processes, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Preparation of Financial Statements: Prepare comprehensive financial statements in line with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Liaison with Auditors: Act as the primary contact for auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate the auditing process.

The Ideal Financial Accountant will have:
  • Solid Technical Accounting Skills: Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, including year-end accounting processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Professional Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
  • Experience in Large Companies: Prior experience working in large organisations is advantageous.
