FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a thriving business in Liverpool. This role has responsibilities in key areas such as intercompany, balance sheet, fixed and lease asset accounting, and VAT returns production.

Key Responsibilites

• Prepare monthly journals including accruals and prepayments, ensuring supporting evidence is readily available.
• Assist Tax Team with production of VAT and Corporation Tax returns.
• Responsible for Fixed Asset postings ensuring appropriate treatment for depreciation, impairment, and asset disposal.
• Post and reconcile in accordance with IFRS16 for all lease assets and liabilities.
• Deliver complete and accurate trial balances to Financial Control Team.
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations within the financial control timescales.
• Support the Intercompany accounting and reconciliation process in line with transfer pricing agreements.
• Maintain financial controls in accordance with group policies and procedures.
• Participate in monthly Group Reporting calls with Financial Controller providing detailed summaries for any P&L variances.

What you bring:

• Part or Qualified Accountant
• Proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Technically strong with knowledge of IFRS principles.
• Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and able to manage conflicting deadlines.
• Experience using larger ERP system such as SAP.
• Ability to work under pressure at busy periods to ensure deadlines are achieved.
