Financial Accountant
Butler Rose is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant for a fast-paced business in the St Austell area. This is a permanent role with hybrid working available.
This is a key role for the organisation where you will ensure that the business adheres to all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and work closely with the wider finance team.
Key duties will include:
- Enhance the financial control environment and manage period-end processes.
- Review accounts payable and receivable for accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and key metrics.
- Oversee the fixed asset register and capitalisation processes.
- Manage consolidation adjustments and inter-company balances.
- Assist with complex accounting transactions and policy development.
- Resolve queries and liaise with Internal Audit.
- Govern finance-related system data changes.
- Produce financial statements and ensure compliance.
- Maintain audit trails and manage year-end processes.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes.
- Submit external regulatory reports on a timely basis
- Improve processes for regulated activities
The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong financial accounting experience and the ability to work well to deadlines and prioritise your workload.
