Financial Accountant

I am working with a leading UK based Construction business on their search for a Financial Accountant.

I'm looking for a proactive Financial Accountant that is looking to take their career to the next level by significantly contributing to the business's success.

Duties and responsibilities

• Preparation of management accounts for legal entities including consolidation
• Post month-end and year-end journals.
• Processing weekly & ad hoc sales invoices
• Process invoices for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
• Preparation of key monthly flash reporting requirements
• Preparation of audit files and liaising with external accountants
• Lead preparation and submission of Returns - CIS PAYE/P11D/VAT etc
• Assist in managing WIP, Debtors and Creditors.

What I'm looking for:

• Substantial accounting experience in a busy, progressive and tightly managed medium-sized business is needed
• Previous experience in the construction or property sector desirable
• Extensive experience of computerized accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamic
• Proficient Microsoft Office user with intermediate Excel skills needed
• Ability to deliver accurate and high-quality work within deadlines
• Consistent performance under pressure
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
• Flexible approach to work, willing to play a full role in ensuring the success of the team

Education Requirements:

• Qualified accountants (ACCA, CIMA, ACA,) are preferred
• Open to considering part-qualified and QBE candidates with strong relevant experience.
