Financial Accountant

Partnered with my client's internal recruiter, together we are looking to appoint a credible and experienced Financial Accountant to join this very well-established business based in West Wiltshire.

As Financial Accountant, you will play a vital part in the numbers and your main purpose will be to support the Financial Controller in maintaining high standards of financial information and data for the business.

Your remit will include:

· Managing bi-weekly cash flow forecasts

· Communicating effectively with the business to understand the flow of cash for non-ledger items

· Liaising with an overseas treasury team to ensure they maintain the correct balance of currencies

· Managing the Accounts Receivable team

· Maintaining the General Ledger; ensuring designated control and other balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, and investigating unusual transactions promptly

· Assisting in preparation of annual budget and quarterly reforecasts

· Proactively identifying system and process improvements and opportunities to add value to the business

· Support the submission of full and half year submissions

· Assisting with the external audit

· Support tax schedule preparation and reporting

· Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are in place

To succeed in post, you will: • Be CIMA, ACCA or ACA newly qualified or finalist, or QBE

• Have proven working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS

• Have strong reporting and financial accounting experience

• Be able to use Excel well including VLOOKUPs, PivotTable

• Have comprehensive knowledge of working with ERP systems and ability to assimilate new software quickly

• Have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude to problem solving
