This Financial Accountant position is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified/finalist accountant looking for the next step in their career. You will be responsible for weekly KPI reporting, month/quarter/year end reporting, budgeting/forecasting and more, as you support the finance director and wider finance team.

My client are a leader in the private education and tech sector and are looking to expand their finance team as they continue to grow.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with month end, quarterly statutory pack and annual disclosure reviews
  • KPI reporting
  • Assisting with cashflow reviews
  • Interpreting and analysing contract or events in accordance with IFRS
  • Assisting with the implementation and improvement of financial processes, controls and systems
  • Assisting with preparations of annual budgets, regular and cash flow forecasts
  • Performing variance analysis on budgets vs actuals
  • Approving journals, bank payments on fund transfers
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant:

  • PQ/Finalist ACCA/ACA/CIMA or QBE
  • Previous experience with statutory accounting, reporting and business planning
  • Strong excel experience
  • Proven ability to learn and improve accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and an eye for improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain and present financial findings to non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactive and positive attitude to their work

Job Offer

  • £50,000 - £55,000 salary
  • Permanent contract
  • Hybrid working
