Financial Analyst

Your new company
Our client has a rapidly expanding client base throughout Cumbria and the North of England and are developing into new commercial markets. Due to ongoing growth, they have created a new role of Financial Analyst to work with systems and data sources across the business, bringing together data for analysis and reporting that will support the budgeting and financial forecasting processes in the business. Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will collaborate and work closely with senior stakeholders to contribute to the overall future business strategy.
Typical duties will include:
Create financial models using financial and other business data to support fact-based decision-making and support the budgeting and financial forecasting processes
Produce and maintain detailed revenue forecasts
Analyse business revenues, prices, costs and margins, producing insightful reports to highlight financial performance
Develop improved methods and processes to enable internal charges to be calculated and reported
Undertake variance analysis to highlight the difference between planned and actual performance
Help to develop the Financial reporting and Management Information structure for the business, including Management Accounts
Support effective internal and external reporting, providing cover for the Management Accountant when required.

What you'll need to succeed
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data and stock issues/needs quickly
Broad understanding of financial processes
Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong commercial acumen

What you'll get in return
Competitive salary c£40,000 per annum dependent on experience
Full-time permanent role 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday, hybrid working also available after completion of probation
Pension contributions 5% matched 25 days annual leave plus banks
