What you will be doing... 

Planning and Reporting

  • Support the production of a robust rolling forecasts, Budget and Strategic Plan, across multiple scenarios, with supporting variance analysis.  Liaising with various Finance and Operations stakeholders.
  • Provide insightful reporting and final outputs to stakeholders that are fit for purpose and suitably dynamic across all 3 financial statements.
  • Support with cash analysis between long-term to short-term forecasting.
  • Timely allocation of cash receipts and payments on a daily / weekly basis.
  • Monthly board report preparation and production, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery of outputs.
  • Creation of new financial reporting incl. data gathering as required.
  • Confident in challenging status quo and proposing ideas and initiatives to enhance reporting and planning procedures.

Modelling and Analysis

  • Assess the existing financial models and update any assumptions as needed. Incorporating these changes into the development of new financial models as required.
  • Support testing of new and /or changes to financial modelling within IBM Planning Analytics to ensure robustness before implementation.
  • Assist with adhoc analysis to support strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement and development.
  • On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given.
  • You have a duty to safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers and visitors. You also have a duty to co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety duties ensuring quality, compliance and health & safety standards across Finance.

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for: 

  • AAT Qualified / Part Qual ACCA, CIMA and actively studying.
  • Highly numerate and analytical.
  • Experienced user Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in using business intelligence and management tools
  • Use of IBM TM1 desirable but not essential
  • Keen to learn within a changing environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage priorities.
