Marks Sattin are working on behalf of a well established and progressive professional services firm based in Bristol to recruit a Financial Analyst on a permanent basis. A truly commercial role that will support the finance business partners with the relevant information to drive performance, work on planning activities such as budgeting/forecasting and develop existing skills further.

The Financial Analyst role will be paying between £30,000 and £35,000 per annum plus study support, hybrid working options (2-3 days in the office), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

The Financial Analyst Role

This role would suit somebody that has an analytical background, the ability to manipulate data and convert into useful information for the wider business. Somebody that can interact with a variety of stakeholders and has had exposure to budgeting/forecasting. This will be a great opportunity to progress within a growing firm!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partners in the production of departmental information
  • Support with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Produce reports in relation to profitably and variance analysis to be reviewed by heads of departments
  • Work closely with the wider FP&A team to develop management information
  • Cost reporting and departmental analysis
  • Investigate individual performance areas and utilisation rates

Key Skills and Experience

  • Studying ACCA/CIMA
  • Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, V/H Lookups)
  • Large data set manipulation
  • PowerBI experience (advantageous)
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders of varying levels
  • Previous examples of producing reports and visualising data
