Financial Controller for Luxury Fashion Designer Brand

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller for a Luxury Fashion Designer. Based in Central London, you will report directly to the Finance Director and be part of the senior leadership team working alongside the Sales Director and Commercial Director running all areas of the finance function line managing a team to drive the business further.

The Ideal candidate will be ACCA/ CIMA or ACA fully qualified ideally multi-site with retail or wholesale sector experience.

• In charge of the full production of the monthly management accounts, including the monthly management accounts pack, for wholesale and retail entities
• This also includes consolidation, the supporting schedules to ensure variances, budgets and forecasts are fully understood and explained.
• These reports are to be given to the Finance Director and the Chief Operating Officer for review and presentation within the set deadlines
• Managing and reconciling the Profit and Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, along with the necessary schedules, to be reviewed by the Finance Director on a consistent basis
• Prepare Year End audit packs and Co-ordinating with external auditors for Year-End audit
• Being solely responsible for the accuracy of accounts payable and management accountants' entries, such as Fixed Asset Register schedules, bank reconciliation, credit card transactions, prepayments accruals, and intercompany invoices, and ensuring all internal deadlines are met.
• To be solely responsible for the preparation and presentation of the bi-weekly cashflow model. Then review and manage the bi-weekly payment run
• Entering monthly records, including retail sales and their reconciliations, payroll record
• To prepare and present the weekly rolling cash flow and forecasting
• Handling reporting to HMRC such as VAT Returns, Ad hoc Forms etc
• Point of contact for transactional banking (including international payments) and insurers
• Assisting with intercompany and foreign exchange (FX) transactions

Commercial accounting

• To support the FD with the preparation of the annual budget -Providing detailed schedule, variance analysis versus Budget, Forecast and last year
• You will also need a minimum of an intermediate level of Excel to be considered for this position
• Contributing to the implementation of a new Purchase Order (PO) system to the wider business.
• Acting as a business partner for marketing, collaborating with the marketing heads to ensure marketing expenditures are in line with the budget Team

Team

• Mentoring and developing the skills of the Accounts Payable team and Management Accountants.
• Ensure all internal and external deadlines are met by the team
