Group Financial Controller

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a rapidly expanding and market leading business based near Exeter, to recruit a Group Financial Controller.

The Role

Reporting into the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller role will be a pivotal position with leadership responsibility for a large team.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Oversight of the day-to-day operations of the finance function, including strategic leadership of the team.
  • Business partnering with other areas of the business, ensuring finance supports and drives business performance.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, and lead on initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, including preparation of Group Consolidation and Annual Statutory Accounts.
  • Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insight and data analysis to support decision making.

The Person

To be considered for this role you will be a Qualified Accountant, ideally with an Audit background and experience of leading and developing high performing teams.

Your cash flow management and forecasting experience will be strong, and you will be comfortable embracing change and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

In addition, you will have a track record of implementing robust financial controls, and technically strong on Group Consolidation, Statutory Accounts, Audit and Tax.

My client has a fast-paced and collaborative culture and a turnover in excess of £400mln, and this role offers a genuine opportunity to make a real impact.

Ideally you will be able to work from the office 4 days per week.
