Financial Controller

A new high-profile position has been created for this household name business services company based in Gatwick. As Financial Controller, you will enjoy a varied role, working from prestigious offices, being responsible for the leadership of your small team in the delivery of accurate financial information to the business.

Handling the core functions and processes of the financial accounts division, you will need to be highly technical and be experienced in the production of statutory accounts within a complex business. Confident working independently and able to tackle problems alone or escalate and communicate appropriately with Management where necessary is essential.

An attractive salary is on offer dependent on your level of experience, your teams daily duties will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 5
• Creating and maintaining accurate month end and year end process
• Preparation of accounts ready for year end audit
• Month end close process and preparation of financial statements
• Support financial and tax audits
• Business partnering for financial support
• Maintenance of the General Ledger
• Capital and Treasury Management
• Financial analysis, reporting and budget control
• Liaising and contributing to tasks within wider business, acting as a Business Partner

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Technical accounting
• Accounting under US GAAP
• Team Leadership
• Process driven and proactive nature
• Able to prioritise and tackle a heavy workload
• Approachable and friendly nature
