Part Time Accountant / Financial Controller | Batley | £50,000 - £60,000 (FTE)

The Opportunity

Are you a talented qualified finance professional looking for a reduced hours role (perhaps to fit around childcare or other commitments?)

You’ll be joining an expanding privately held group - reporting to the Finance Director.

Your role is 'number 2 in finance’ - managing all aspects of the pack production including variance analysis, detailed commentary and MI production.

You’ll be an approachable and helpful business partner to the department heads and play a key role in managing cost, understanding margin and assisting the business to continue to deliver profitable growth.

You’ll be a versatile accountant - comfortable with P&L analysis, balance sheet integrity, cash management and forecasting, year end, project accounting etc.

It’s a welcoming, vibrant and professional SME with a strong management team. A down to earth but modern group expecting to reach £50m turnover in the next 2-3 years.

It’s a unique part time role in the sense that you can make a real difference and enjoy a varied remit but also have the benefit of reduced hours. This role is ideally 30 hrs per week.

Required;

• Experience at Finance Manager / FC level within a reasonably complex business or division.
• CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
• A hands on approach and no fear of getting stuck into the nitty gritty.
• Business Partnering ability and strong communication skills.
• Experience of using an ERP system
• Ability to coach and mentor more junior members of the finance team.
