Financial Controller

I am partnering with an award winning client set for growth based in Taunton to recruit a Financial Controller

looking for a proven finance professional with previous experience operating in the lead finance position. In this role you will join the executive team and play a leading part in developing and managing the business.

Responsibilities:

• Daily: Handle bank transactions, purchase orders, and Invoice Finance reports. Manage cash and ensure sales invoices.
• Weekly: Invoice orders, prepare sales reports, handle EMCS reporting, and manage payments.
• Monthly: Conduct reconciliations, review purchase orders, manage assets and inventory, provide payroll data, and prepare financial reports.
• Quarterly: Prepare VAT returns and reconcile accounts.
• Annual: Collaborate with auditors for annual accounts.

Must-haves:

• Accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA) or relevant experience
• Strong financial and management accounting skills
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management expertise
• Broad business/commercial understanding
• Team leadership experience
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with banking operations
