Financial Controller
A fantastic opportunity to has arisen for a hands on Financial Controller. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:
- Reporting directly to Managing Director & Finance Director, overseeing a team of 3 Finance Assistants and ensuring smooth running of the finance department, dealing with multiple entities
- Production of monthly / quarterly financial reports including balance sheet, debtor and creditor reports, P&L, etc
- Accruals / prepayments
- Posting income and expenditure using control accounts
- Inter-company reconciliations / balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Overseeing payroll and pension schemes
- Budgeting and forecasts
- Preparation of year end accounts for external Accountants, answering queries, etc
- Liaising with Companies House & HMRC
- Overseeing the input of all financial transactions including purchase ledger and bank reconciliations, sales ledger, etc
Previous experience working within a company dealing with multiple entities, such as a firm of Accountants, would be highly beneficial. The firm are happy to consider those qualified ACCA / CIMA etc or those qualified by experience. You will need to be happy being hands on, motivated to take over all aspects of the finance department, and ideally have experience within a similar role.
