Our client is a well-regarded international business operating within the Manufacturing Industry.

As part of the companies continued expansion within the UK, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a qualified accountant to join a divisional business unit ideally located on the Leicestershire / Warwickshire Borders and therefore easily commutable using M1 / M69 / A5.

This position will work closely with the site based General Manager alongside that of the Group CFO based Internationally

• Oversee the day to day management and development of a small site based finance team
• Periodic analysis of product margin deviation vs budget/quotation/financial targets,
• Work closely with Key Account Managers to drive margin improvement activities,
• Monitoring and executing of ad-hoc and quarterly mass standard costs updates
• Ensure accurate bill of materials and labour overhead cost rollup for transactions processing and decision making,
• Monthly cost centre cost variance analysis and work with cost centre costs owner to understand behaviour and improve performance through cost control measures
• Monthly inventory reporting and analysis
• Reconciliation between inventory accounts in the General Ledger and the inventory details reports
• Monitoring of ageing inventories and ensure adequate provision coverage
• Clearly understand the contractual obligations relating to material exposure and periodic review of excess and without requirement materials (exposure together with Key Account Managers to ensure materials are taken over by customers according to the agreed contractual terms,
• Periodic review of provision to comply with requirements
• Produce and analyse certain parts of the monthly reports and any other reports required from the company management and corporate management from time to time.
• Meet the required deadlines and produce meaningful and user-friendly reports in order to effectively support management decision-making
• Active involvement in the annual budgeting and the quarterly forecasting process according to corporate guidelines and timeline.

The ideal candidate will be formally qualified in ACA / ACCA / CIMA and ideally have previous experience gained operating within Manufacturing / Engineering biased business with understanding of Cost / Sales / Stock Analysis

Experience gained within a leadership position is desirable but not essential as long as candidates are comfortable operating as the onsite No 1 in finance.

Those that are QBE or Part Qualified but have suitable experience will be considered.

Alongside BAU this role will play a key and lead role in some improvement projects for the UK business to include ERP System Migration and deep dive and improvement of KPI / MI / Analysis.

Experience of working as part of a larger group or international trade to include multi currency is desirable. But not essential.

In return my client is able to offer a flexible working arrangement with a basic salary of £55,000 to £70,000 DOE coupled with Bonus excellent benefits and free gym membership
