Financial Controller

Are you a qualified Accountant looking for an opportunity to be Financial Controller in an award winning European Media business based in Horsham? Reporting into the CFO, you will manage and develop a small team who are responsible for the full accounts process including liaison with external suppliers allowing an insight into a more commercially focused role within a progressive and dynamic organisation. An exciting part of this role is the opportunity to participate in the commercial and strategic development of the company vital to the ongoing development of a cost control culture. You will be an experienced Financial Controller (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who is seeking to grow and develop your skills in a broad post that offers variety and longevity.

As Financial Controller your duties will include:

• Production of the monthly management account pack
• Developing forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
• VAT returns
• Year-end statutory accounts
• Ensuring the current financial systems remain robust and that reporting processes are in place. Latterly, a systems upgrade will take place where you will play an integral role in this development
• Other adhoc duties as required by wider finance team

We are looking for the following:

• Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience of working as a Finance Manager / Controller within a company with more than one entity
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
• Confident, organised and dedicated characteristics
• Availability at short notice
