Financial Controller

IPS Finance is supporting a successful wealth management company in the appointment of a Financial Controller.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office (parking on site.)

The Financial Controller will manage all aspects of financial management within a dynamic and challenging financial services company. Your role will include oversight and management of all day-to-day accounting operations as well as informing more strategic and long-term financial decision making.

You will report to the board and work closely with the group finance director with ample opportunity to manage internal stakeholders directly.

You will be responsible for controlling and managing all aspects of the finance function, including:

• Prepare all financial statements and monthly management accounts
• Lead in the provision of management information to the board
• Oversee the audit process and liaise with external advisors where required
• Provide detailed financial forecasts and budgets
• Support the business with the development and updating of its financial strategy
• Ensure compliance with all financial, tax and regulatory legislation and reporting
• Assist with management and oversight of suppliers, ensuring timely payment of invoices
• Undertake general management and control support for the business
• Undertake any ad hoc project work that may be required

The candidate

You will be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant seeking a move from industry or a first time move from practice.
