This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a rewarding role where you play a pivotal role in the growth of the bank.

Given the firm's growth and all the upcoming new projects, they are now looking for someone that can lead their Financial Control team. You will be tasked with the improvement of the finance function and driving change through the improvement of processes and controls.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing the Financial Control Function
  • General oversight of financial control activities, including review of month end reconciliations and management of reporting standards
  • Taking the lead of technical accounting issues (i.e. hedge accounting). Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors and external regulatory bodies
  • Ensure the successful development and utilisation of IT resources used by the Finance Department
  • Promote and support the continuing professional and career development of all individual members of the Financial Control area
  • Liaising with senior management, proactively driving change to improve the Finance function
  • Providing key insights to senior management to aid them in strategic decision-making as the bank grows

Ideally you will be:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Have extensive Banking experience
  • Possess great leadership abilities with the ability to put forward proposals, come up with new ideas and lead process improvement
  • Have experience managing a team of people
