Our client, a forward thinking business in the Southwest experiencing significant growth, is currently seeking a proficient Financial Controller to join their expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business's financial compliance, supporting senior management, and preparing company accounts and financial reports.

The responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Management to establish effective processes and ensure account integrity.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to provide accurate financial snapshots for review and analysis.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing necessary financial data and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Deliver precise and detailed financial reports to Senior Management.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax and accounting regulations.
  • Supervise all financial control activities, including account maintenance and report generation.
  • Manage tax preparation tasks, including VAT, and prepare annual financial accounts, coordinating with external accountants for submission.

The candidate:

  • Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Proven experience within a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of accountancy principles and practical experience utilising Sage software.
  • Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the Property sector (desirable but not essential).
