This stand alone role is central to managing financial operations within a construction business and supporting the company. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will take responsibility for day-to-day running of the finance function, team supervision, statutory compliance, and management reporting.
Key Skills and Experience:
You will be either fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or Qualified by Experience.
Strong understanding of core accounting and financial processes
In-depth knowledge of CIS and construction-related finance
Experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily financial operations and lead the finance function
Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting reports
Manage cash flow and debtor control processes
Handle key financial queries from clients and contractors
Contribute to the review of commercial contracts and agreements
Support forecasting of secured work and income pipelines
Monitor and report on project and business unit profitability
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans
Support year-end processes and external audits
