Financial Controller
Location – Fleetwood
Salary – £50,000 - £60,000
Holidays – 25 plus stats

Our client is a family-owned business with a turnover of £20 million, committed to delivering exceptional products to their clients. There is an opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join the team and help drive the financial strategy and operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team and managed the HR and IT functions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
