Alderley Park Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Financial Planner for our IFA Client based in Alderley Edge. This is an employed, permanent role and salary is negotiable depending on experience.

The Role

Working together with the paraplanning team and the back-office team, the Planner will focus on servicing and growing a 'bank’ of clients in line with our clients Wealth service proposition offering holistic whole-of market investment advice and lifetime financial planning services. Personalised Financial Advice:

Provide tailored financial planning advice and solutions that align with each client's unique needs and aspirations.

Goal Setting:

Help clients define and achieve their financial goals, whether it's buying a home, saving for education, or planning for retirement.

Comprehensive Planning:

Develop detailed financial plans covering investments, insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax strategies all centred around a cash flow plan and use this as the foundation from which to build a life time relationship.

Ongoing Support:

Maintain regular contact with all clients to review their financial plans, track progress and make necessary adjustments if and when necessary; become the trusted adviser to all clients.

Education and Empowerment:

Educate clients on financial matters, empowering them to make confident decisions about their financial futures knowing that they have you as their confident to assist with any what if scenario life throws up.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues and in particular the POD of Planner-Paraplanner and Client Relationship Executive to ensure a holistic approach to financial planning, leveraging the collective expertise of our team.

In order to be successful, the ideal candidate will have the following experience;

  • At least Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services (DipPFS).
  • Ideally be working towards Chartered to preserve the firm’s Chartered status.
  • Competent Adviser Status.
  • Cash-flow planning experience and expertise - this is what we do and hence it’s vital to be competent. We use Truth and a proficiency in Truth would be desirable or at least a willingness to adapt.
  • A passion for and about holistic lifetime financial planning.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team and be adept at doing both.
  • Able to use one’s initiative and equally be relied upon by other members of staff - a collaborator.
  • Ability to identify and manage client risks and opportunities and deliver sound advice to benefit the client.
  • Ability to provide accurate and timely management information to clients and communicate such internally.
  • Relevant and useful working experience in similar role.
  • Ability to use discretion when processing sensitive financial information.
  • Simultaneously commercially aware and compliant to FCA guidelines
  • Initiative-taking and ambitious.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Ability to react to pressures calmly, efficiently, and professionally always
