Financial Systems Manager

A prestigious London firm is seeking a Financial Systems Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to significantly enhance and improve the functionality of the firm’s existing financial systems.

• Maintain and develop financial and reporting models in collaboration with the Finance team.
• Serve as the system administrator for the firm’s financial systems.
• Manage a portfolio of small projects and in-house system enhancements.
• Work with the finance team to define scoping and functional requirements for new software implementations.
• Review current interfaces and procedures, proposing solutions to streamline processes, reduce manual intervention, and increase automation.
• Liaise with external software vendors to resolve software bugs and address daily system issues.
• Ensure system permissions align with delegated authorities, approval limits, and maintain segregation of duties.
• Test and document internal processes and procedures to ensure smooth transition to business as usual (BAU).
• Respond to day-to-day technical queries and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis when necessary.

• A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
• A strong background in financial systems management and enhancement.
• Proven experience in financial modelling and reporting.
• Excellent project management skills for handling a portfolio of enhancements.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose effective solutions.
• Good communication skills for liaising with both internal teams and external vendors.
