General Manager/ Branch Manager (Fire Alarm/ Fire Detection - FIA) - Essex

We are currently seeking a talented General Manager or Branch Manager on behalf of our client, a leading fire alarm company who will have an Branch Office in Essex, and we are here to help if you lead a Fire company now or have experience growing a £10m+ Fire Business.
  • Location Proposed - Office will be Chelmsford or North Essex  with c.30 Fire staff to start.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our client's team and oversee all aspects of their operations. You would be ideal candidate if have a strong background in Fire Alarm Systems and management of a FIA/ BAFE installer, other managers and driving SLA/ KPI and standards.

If you have excellent leadership skills, and a passion for Fire safety/ Fire detection, we are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm General Manager/ Branch Manager, Operations Director or Operations Manager to help manage growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to the team of Fire Alarm Engineers, Management and office staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts. Ensure financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations such as BS5839 and safety standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop staff through others. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and feedback as needed or coordinate this and standards.
  • Sales and Marketing: Oversee sales and marketing efforts to promote the company's services. Develop strategies to increase market share and revenue, and lead the fire alarm sales people.

Requirements :

  • ESSENTIAL - Knowledge of fire alarm systems and industry, not necessarily regulations but have managed and grown a FIA/ BAFE business - having worked for a Fire Detection installer before/ now) .
  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Branch Manager, Operations Manager or Operations Director or in a similar senior  managerial role and where are systems/ procedures/ processes in Fire Alarm company.
  • Management of SLA's, KPI's and managing others
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality .
