Diligent and self-motivated Fire-Consultant required to join a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy. This is a remote aside from going to the office once per month so you must be able to work autonomously. You will support on nationwide projects with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Developers and Colleges.

The Fire Consultant Role

The projects are mostly residential, with some education projects.

The Fire Consultant will be required to conduct and have very strong working knowledge of:

  • Complex risk assessments, type 1-4
  • Retrospective Fire Strategies
  • Building Safety Casework
  • PAS 9980 Assessments
  • Fire Risk Appraisals
  • External Wall Fire Risk Appraisals
  • Fire Door Inspections
  • Strategy reports (retrospective and pre-construction)
  • Approved Document B and latest regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Institute of Fire Prevention Officer (IFPO)
  • Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM)
  • Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
  • Looking to achieve MIFireE
