Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy, based near Leicester are seeking a Fire Risk Assoesor to join them on a permanent basis. They provide a range of services from architectural design, building surveying, project management, quantity surveying, maintenance and health and safety.

Fire Risk Assessor Position Overview
  • Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments Types 1-4: Perform thorough on-site inspections and assessments of buildings, facilities, and processes to identify potential fire hazards, assess fire risks, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing fire safety measures.
  • Analyse fire safety systems and procedures
  • Identify fire safety deficiencies
  • Prepare detailed reports: Generate comprehensive reports based on fire risk assessments, outlining findings, observations, and recommendations. Communicate technical information effectively to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders to gather information, understand project requirements, and provide guidance on fire safety measures.
  • Provide expertise and advice: Act as a subject matter expert on fire risk assessments and fire safety measures. Offer guidance, support, and advice to clients, colleagues, and project teams to ensure the implementation of effective fire safety strategies.
Fire Risk Assessor Position Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Approved Document B, latest regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Qualified by one or more of the following:
  • Institute of Fire Prevention Officer (IFPO)
  • Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM)
  • Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
