Fire Safety Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire Safety Officer to join a public sector organisation based in East London.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a technical, property services environment, with previous experience in handling complex fire safety issues with high risk implications. The successful applicant will have previous experience undertaking risk assessments and audits and will have a recognised fire safety qualification, CFPA Fire Diploma, NEBOSH or equivalent.
Key duties will include:
· To direct the various fire safety management arrangements to ensure the fire safety of the organisation's housing stock
· To monitor the timeliness, quality and ensuring actions of an ongoing programme of fire risk assessments
· Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and individuals
· Ensuring the successful delivery of the fire safety management programmes
· Responsibility for the commissioning of programmes of fire risk assessments
· Responsibility for ensuring fire risk assessments, management and maintenance is carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation
· To work with managers to develop and delivery best practice fire safety solutions
· To promote fire safety best practice and innovation
· Taking a lead role in all fire safety technical matters
