Fire Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Fire Systems Engineer to work on client’s sites in the South West.

The salary for this role will be c. £38,000 to £42,000, negotiable for the right person.

You will be driving yourself to sites on a daily basis to carry out services, surveys, repairs and installations, meeting your team on the day. You will need a full clean UK driving licence.

You will ideally be situated along the M3 corridor, within an easy commute of Bournemouth/Portsmouth/Southampton and the surrounding south coast.

In terms of experience, we are looking for someone with a solid working knowledge of fire systems (or electrical systems).

You may be an experienced Fire Systems Engineer - but this is also an opportunity for someone who is looking for training and the next step in their career. The team in place in the area are an experienced group who could train and mentor you.

• Fire alarm systems experience including Service and Maintenance, level of small works and installation, level of experience of commissioning systems.
• Already working on/with fire systems but all system specific training will be given.
• Looking for next level for progression (will suit an eager learner).
• Support to other areas (across UK) on occasion will be required but will include all travelling expenses/hotels, etc.
• Will be generally site based.

Industry knowledge:

• BS 5839 Part 1 knowledge/awareness.
• FIA (Fire Industry Association) training/qualification preferred but not essential (training given to the right person)
• Electrical cabling install training or knowledge preferred but not essential (i.e. Training/Certificate in the requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671 to 17th/18thEdition)).
• Willing to learn or can install small works.

Other skills:

• Customer facing and able to communicate.
• Conscientious approach to clients and site visits.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel etc.)

Salary is c.£38,000 to £42,000 depending on experience
